What does FRESNEL mean?

Augustin Fresnel was a French physicist who made significant contributions in optics. We have chosen to use his name as a tribute to him, given that our specializations include physics & optics, and also because the name conveniently contains the abbreviations of the languages we work with: French - FR, Spanish - ES, English - (E)N, and Greek (EL).

cet adjectif
et ne jamais se contenter
de l'à-peu-près,
ne jamais avoir recours
à des supercheries,
même heureuses,
à des clowneries de langue
pour éviter la difficulté.

Guy de Maupassant

Even if language is a living evolving organism,
we don't have to embrace all the changes that occur during our lifetimes.
If language is so alive, it can get sick.

Alberto Manguel
